Mark Hunter, also know as The Cobrasnake,
has become the definitive photographer of global hipster culture, shooting
everything from Indie Rock bands to celebrity DJ parties. His website gets over
500,000 hits a month and he has traveled to over 75 cities in 15 countries shooting
parties and events, constantly searching for the latest trends and hottest
fashions. He is a very sort after photographer, making an appearance on
Americas Next Top Model this year.
The images I really like from his work are
the latest collection from the American brand Wildfox, Hunter photographed their
summer 2013 collection. I love the old school, almost 50s/60s styling and
imagery. The lighting looks so natural and soft and really adds to the image.
With the model being so striking, the lighting and locations work so well in
these images. It has a slight ‘bond girl’ feel with the model holding a gun,
and standing by a sports car in one image. I really like the feel and atmosphere
these images bring to the audience, and fit well with the clothing being
advertised.
